About Me: My name is James Waters. I am a retired, disabled veteran. I am also a husband, father and grandfather. I am from Royal Center, Indiana. I moved out to California because I love and support my wife, who is from here. As a retiree, I am able to spend time with my church, family, grandchildren, friends and loved ones. Why would I need to run for Congress?
When I look around California and see the high cost of living, where people are struggling just to pay rent. I can see dangerous things going on that threaten the safety of families struggling to get by that shouldn’t be going on. And what pushed me over the edge to decide to spend my time in retirement fighting back is the legislation being passed that is destroying families and disregarding people in general. Legislation like the late term abortion and the treatment of children who survive an abortion. Or the fact that the homeless population is growing and the people in power are not dealing with the problem properly. Or the over taxation of middle-class Californians of which some can’t afford to pay rent and end up homeless.
It is known that the single biggest factor to accumulating wealth and being successful in life is a successful marriage. How can marriage be successful when the government is putting too many obstacles in their way. It is time for the families of California to be EMPOWERED to succeed.
My platform is designed with FAMILIES in mind. I am running on the idea of FAMILY EMPOWERMENT.
The three areas of the policies I am focused on stem from The COST OF LIVING in the 46th District and how we can lower them, the attack on FAMILY VALUES and how I want to defend those values, and on the SAFETY of the families in the 46th district. I know that if I can succeed in my mission to Empower you, the families of the 46th Congressional District, then you can succeed and achieve the dreams and goals you have for you and your family. I am here to represent you in Congress. My door is always open, and I would love to hear from you.
